Committee of Management

 

The BKCC is operated and managed as a not for profit, small-medium sized business by a volunteer committee of management. This committee is responsible for holding the service approval, employing staff and ensuring that the centre operates in line with all relevant local, state and national laws and regulations.

The BKCC committee works collaboratively with educators, parents and local council to provide the best possible service for our children. Both the roles and incumbents that fill the committee positions change yearly, depending on the needs of the BKCC. In 2016 the BKCC committee comprises 11 members.

The ‘executive’ management committee comprises the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, and together these members are the final authority on all matters relating to the management of the BKCC.

Fundraising is one of the most important activities undertaken by the committee each year. A number of events and programs are organised to raise much needed additional funds for the BKCC. Every dollar raised, improves the educational experience our children receive while attending our service. Without fundraising at BKCC, some of the many wonderful tools, instruments, equipment and experiences would not be possible.
